Our first award nomination occurred in 2014. The nomination was for an Adelaide Fringe Festival Award. Not bad after our first Fringe! Whilst, we did not win it was a great honour to be nominated against only 4 other events.
Later that year we entered the South Australian Tourism Awards, a 30-page submission that was difficult to pull together whilst still running my company! Harbor Town took out my category and Floating Melodies received a Bronze Award! This also led to Floating Melodies becoming a Tourism Accredited Business.
In 2015, we entered the Tourism Awards again in the category of Specialised Tourism Services. This category recognises the outstanding delivery of specialised tourism services that enhance the visitor experience and integrate with other tourism products. We received another Bronze Award!
2016 saw us go a higher and receive a Silver Tourism Award! It was so very exciting and the first ceremony I could make personally!
We did not enter the 2017 awards and in 2018, under the Emma Knights Productions umbrella, we were a South Australian Tourism Award Finalist. We also received a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor.
In 2019, Emma Knights was nominated for Westfields Local Heroes and for a community achievement award for the Minister for Innovation and Skills Small Business Award and was awarded one of InDaily’s 40 Under 40 Awards.
