Mélodies Flottantes
South Australia is a rich mix of cultures and I wanted to showcase this through Floating Melodies or Mélodies Flottantes. So, holding a cruise on Bastille Day seemed like a great idea! I headed into Mulots Patisserie and met the wonderful French pair of Annette and Andre who live here in Adelaide. They agreed to make some delicious foods…that I, of course, had to test!
Performers
Local soprano, Karen Lettice sang a beautiful array of French art songs as we floated under the King William St Bridge. She was joined by Andrew McKenzie for a few numbers. Georgia Darcy entertained with French Cabaret and a little comedy. Shelley Dunstone even graced us with Les Feuilles Mortes. Channel 7 jumped on board for a weather cross too!
Local beverages
The local wine package for this event included Pikes Wines, Claymore Wines, Bellwether, Some Young Punks and the wonderful Scarpantoni Wines. For those who did not like wine, there was Bickford’s Australia soft drink and beers from McLaren Vale Beer Company
